When is National Nurses Week 2024?
National Nurses Week occurs from May 6-12 annually. First observed in October of 1954, it wasn’t until 1990 that the week-long celebration was officially recognized by the American Nurses Association Board of Directors. In 1993, the board designated May 6-12 as permanent dates for National Nurses Week.
What is National Nurses Week 2024?
Nurse Appreciation Week acknowledges the contributions of nurses in local communities. The week’s celebration concludes on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
